Ensure that the adoption of climate-smart technologies and practices build resilience to climate change and soil health

Scolexia Victoria

Overview

This activity supports the adoption of climate-smart technologies and practices by developing practical decision-support tools and extension resources that help farmers improve soil health, nutrient management, and resilience to climate change. Through collaboration with industry partners, the project is creating accessible resources that translate research into practical on-farm solutions and contribute to project outcome 1.

Key Activities

  • Developed a Carbon-to-Nitrogen (C/N) Ratio Calculator to support informed decisions on organic amendments, nutrient management, and soil health improvement.

  • Produced practical "How-to" training videos, developed in consultation with farmers and industry stakeholders, demonstrating climate-smart technologies and best management practices.

  • Promoted climate-smart tools and resources through industry networks, workshops, newsletters, conferences, and digital communication channels to encourage widespread adoption across Australian farming systems.
