Demonstration that new climate-smart technologies and practices are effective, economical and environmentally sound
The University of Western Australia
Overview
This activity evaluates the economic, environmental, and practical performance of climate-smart technologies developed across the Climate Smart Agriculture Program. By integrating field trial data with economic and environmental modelling, the project identifies management practices that improve farm productivity, profitability, soil health, and environmental sustainability while supporting informed decision-making and policy development and contributes to project outcome 1, 2 and 3.
Key Activities
-
Evaluate climate-smart innovations by integrating field trial data from partner activities into economic and environmental modelling to assess productivity, profitability, and sustainability outcomes.
-
Develop scenario modelling and decision-support tools to predict the long-term impacts of climate-smart technologies and identify pathways for on-farm adoption.
-
Communicate research outcomes through field workshops, industry events, fact sheets, and policy recommendations to support farmer adoption and guide future climate-smart agricultural practices.
